Hitwise Launches Dashboard Service

Online competitive intelligence agency Hitwise has launched Hitwise Dashboards, a reporting system enabling marketers to compile and view a customised page of information pulled from its various competitive intelligence sources.

Using data collected daily, the dashboard provides real-time snapshots of metrics to assist companies with their online planning and reporting. Marketers will be able to view:
  • The relative market share of their brand within their industry online
  • Sources of traffic for competitors' sites
  • The percentage of traffic from affiliate partners
  • The brands and products that are top of mind among consumers
  • Demographic data and Lifestyle segmentation data.
Information is drawn from data on the online performance of more than 900,000 web sites and the online usage behaviour of more than 25 million Internet users. The firm is already planning additional enhancements to its dashboard, including one that will enable clients to integrate other data sets, such as web site analytics into the Hitwise interface.

Gavin Appel, the firm's Senior VP of Product Development explained: 'The goal of dashboards is to make it easier for our clients to remain ahead of their competitor and industry trends while being able to make informed decisions around planning and analysis of marketing campaigns.'
