YouGov is 'Brand of the Year'

Online specialist YouGov has been named 'Brand of the Year' in the Business XL 10 awards, hosted in London last night.

The annual 'Company of the Year' Awards are organised by Business XL magazine, owned by business publisher Vitesse Media. The award for Brand of the Year recognises the establishment and maintainance of brand values and dedication to 'building brand recognition through innovative strategic marketing'. Other nominees were Humberts, Eat Natural, Wall to Wall TV, Primark and Interior Services.

YouGov co-founder and CEO Nadhim Zahawi pronounced the firm 'delighted to have been awarded this prestigious title ... after only seven years', adding that the brand is 'associated with high quality, accurate and timely research'. Marc Barber, Editor of Business XL, says the awards winners generally show 'substance behind their success' and combine 'innovation, flair and drive... and hunger for future growth.'

YouGov was founded in May 2000 and last year saw turnover rise by over 200 per cent to £9.5m (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6652.htm ). Its home page is at www.yougov.com .
