Ex-Ipsos MD Joins Harris to Drive Global Account Development

Harris Interactive has hired former MD of Ipsos Russia & Ipsos Ukraine, Jeff Stewart, to head its global account development strategy for both the US and European account teams.

Since January Stewart has briefly acted as CEO for data modeling firm MacGroup in Cincinnati. Prior to working for Ipsos, he spent six years with TNS in a number of senior positions including Senior VP Strategic Account Development and Global Key Account Manager. Stewart began his career with Gallup in 1993 where he worked his way up to the position of VP Business Development.

CEO Greg Novak explained the appointment by saying: 'As Harris Interactive continues to evolve to support its global clients, we require not only an integrated execution platform but also a holistic global account mindset. We see Jeff as a key element in developing that attitude here.'

As Senior VP, Head of Global Account Development, Stewart will be based in Harris's New York City offices.

After reporting a 1% rise in Q3 revenues in May, Novak told DRNO that the rebuilt sales team was generating very good sales growth, but admitted that contracts had been lost because of lack of geographic coverage (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6755.htm ). At the time he confirmed that Harris was looking for acquisitions in Asia Pacific and Western Europe since when the firm has purchased Hamburg-based online FMCG MR firm MediaTransfer (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6627.htm ).

The company is online at www.harrisinteractive.com.
