3D Presentation Firm Launched
Multi media specialist Cheerful Scout has partnered with systems developer Apperly & Associates (A&A) to form Business Data Interactive (BDI); a new venture that will use technology to analyse and present business data in an animated graphical format.
The firms say their combined technology and skills will apply sophisticated analytics and advanced data mining capabilities to business data, which will then be presented in real-time, 3D video graphics.
Dr James Apperly, founder of A&A, will become MD of BDI. He explained: 'The new firm will enable clients to visualise their data and conduct analysis in an engaging, interactive environment, ultimately delivering strategic insight and driving better management decision making.'
Cheerful Scout will invest £200k and own 60% of the new firm, while licensing its presentation and visualisation software package, nVision Strategy, to the new business. In turn, A&A will licence its own Business Intelligence Engine to BDI.
Cheerful Chairman Stuart Appleton comments: 'Our combined creative talent and technological know-how, in tandem with a deep understanding of the needs of business communications will enable BDI to deliver powerful, highly sophisticated, bespoke products to this market, unlike any other currently available.'
An Oxford graduate with a PhD in Neuroscience, Apperly established A&A in 2003 and has since designed and implemented business intelligence systems for a number of blue-chip organisations.
