Ad Agency Buys Argus

Argus Interactive Agency, a Santa Ana, US-based web development and search engine marketing firm whose services include web analytics consulting, is to be acquired by DGWB Advertising and Communications.

Argus was founded in 2002 and has clients including mid to large corporations in healthcare, education, technology, publishing, real estate and finance.

'With all the recent activity in digital marketing, especially surrounding search engine marketing, it made a lot of sense for us to jump into this area with both feet' according to DGWB Managing Partner Mandi Dossin, who cites Microsoft's $6bn buy of Quantive and Google's booming ad revenue. 'It's clear that this is something that is going to continue to define how people develop relationships with brands. It's a natural next step for us.'

Chris Diede, Argus Interactive's President and Founder, says that while working together at times over several years, DGWB had 'always been people we felt like we could relate to'. Diede has 13 years of experience in the interactive space and will play a key role in the new setup, located in DGWB's corporate headquarters.

Orange County-based DGWB was founded in January 1988 and is online at www.dgwb.com. Argus' web site www.argusinteractive.com.
