GMI Adds New Legal Advisor

MR software and panels firm GMI has appointed legal and business veteran Dave Williamson as Executive VP and General Counsel.

Dave WilliamsonWilliamson brings more than 20 years' experience to GMI, joining from Loudeye Corporation where he served as Executive VP Business Affairs, responsible for all mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he was General Counsel and Executive VP of Business Affairs at language search technology company Primus Knowledge Solutions, and Senior VP at consumer software specialist Sierra On-Line.

'Dave is a great addition to our executive team,' commented GMI Chief Exec Mike Brochu. 'We trust his expertise and experience, and we look forward to his contribution to our strategic planning and operational execution.'

Brochu, who joined in June, worked previously with Williamson at Sierra On-Line, Primus Knowledge Solutions, and Loudeye (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6934.htm ).

Williamson also served as partner in the Technology Business Group at Perkins Coie and as CPA with Arthur Andersen. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law; and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Denver.
