OnePoint Launches Text Survey Tool

In the UK, OnePoint Surveys has launched SMS Surveys, a tool to capture real-time feedback through text surveys distributed to respondents' mobile phones.

The firm says its patent-pending method of data collection provides more accurate responses as information is fresh in the respondents' minds, and response rates as high as 95% have already been observed.

Commercial Director Neil Jessop said that clients have been impressed with the response rate they've been receiving, and added: 'Our surveys are created easily online following our simple three-step process and are a cost effective solution for all research requirements, no matter what the sample size.'

SMS surveys can be translated into any language to capture customer satisfaction statistics, assess new product or services, gather employee feedback, measure public opinion, and evaluate the efficiency and performance of training, sales and marketing programmes.

Online market research firm BrainJuicer has trialed the new OnePoint platform to explore the potential of using mobile phones as a research medium. A 71% response rate and a 58% completion rate were recorded in 2 hours, convincing Chief Juicer John Kearon that 'the medium has real appeal' and can be used successfully to conduct 'quite complex multi-part surveys'.

Middlesex-based OnePoint was launched earlier this summer. Its technology enables connection and management of surveys through 488 network operators in 183 countries. In most countries there is no charge to those who opt in to a survey. Web site: www.onepointsurveys.com.
