PNG Office is New Arm for Starfish

Starfish Research has followed up its recent launch of Papua New Guinea's (PNG's) first synidcated consumer study with the opening of an office in the capital, Port Moresby. The location will serve as its regional office for research conducted in PNG and the South Pacific.

We're not sure if this *is* the actual new officeCEO Nicholas Cameron explains that the firm has been operating in the Pacific since 2001, and that Papua New Guinea, with a population just under 6 million, is the natural location for its Pacific operations.

Cameron says the role of the market researcher in these areas is unique: 'One day they could be taking a canoe to a remote village and the other interviewing respondents in the shadow of a live volcano. It is truly a fascinating part of the world that few people ever see.'

Details of the recent survey launch are at www.mrweb.com/drno/news7227.htm.

Founded in 2001, Starfish has offices in London and Singapore from which it provides consumer research, retail and media measurement and develops research tools including:
  • SponsorMap - for sponsorship measurement
  • BluRay - for prototype and packaging testing
  • Scrutineer - for brand modeling.
The firm also has an online concept development panel called RedMantis, which comprises graphic, industrial, fashion and interior designers, as well as artists and architects.
