New Release for Blog Analysis Package
Text analytics specialist Lexalytics has upgraded its Salience Engine product, a tool for gauging the 'sentiment and tone' of blogs to help customers understand and act on what's being said about them and their competitors.
Enhancements available in Salience Engine 3.2 include improved performance when extracting key information, and enhanced directory structure for companies, people, products and brands, allowing access to multiple data directories at the same time and customization of access to analyzed content.
Salience Engine 3.2 now supports Ruby and C#, in addition to C, PHP, Python and Java. In addition, the new version boasts improved normalization of information, and association of key names and brands with each other - for example understanding that General Motors and GM are the same entity, says the firm.
'We have been working to improve our base engine capabilities, as well as identify key areas that will help our customers gain more accurate results and offer customized solutions for their business needs,' comments CTO Mike Marshall. Marshall says the company now has 'a stable platform on which we can continue to grow our applications and offer superior solutions'.
