ORC Debuts Syndicated Insurance Studies

UK-based ORC International is to launch two new syndicated studies for the life insurance sector, measuring IFA feedback for the corporate protection and annuity markets. Both research studies will use face to face interviews with a range of intermediaries.

The Corporate Protection Track Syndicate and the Annuity Track Syndicate will examine satisfaction with, and perception of providers. Both are the result of approaches made to ORC by clients, who asked for the studies to be set up and then helped sell the idea to other providers.

The Corporate Protection Track Syndicate starts with five members - Norwich Union, UNUM, Friends Provident, Bupa and Legal and General - and launches its quantitative research in February amongst a range of employee benefit intermediaries.

The Annuity Tracks Syndicate includes Aegon, Tomorrow, Legal & General, Prudential, Norwich Union and Just Retirement, and will start work next month with a qual stage amongst specialist annuity intermediaries.

Research Director Martin Grimwood comments: 'We're delighted to be launching these two new services for the insurance market, where we can call on long experience in running successful syndicated studies. Not only do our interviewers have great interviewing skills, but they also have in-depth understanding of relevant market issues facing both intermediaries and providers.'

ORC International is the global research unit of Opinion Research Corporation, and is on the web at www.orc.co.uk.
