Schlesinger Adds Facilities, Partners with Itracks

US data collection firm Schlesinger Associates has expanded its New York focus group facility and will be opening a new facility in Houston, Texas next week. Schlesinger has also partnered with Canadian data collection firm Itracks to enable it to offer clients online focus groups and bulletin board discussions.

Schlesinger's Fifth Avenue facility now offers a choice of nine conference suites suitable for focus groups, in-depth-interviews and web usability labs. Each suite includes a spacious conference room, client lounge, viewing room and respondent reception. VP Liz Bloom says that the upgrade will allow the company to fully accommodate increasing demand.

The new Houston resource, located in the uptown Galleria area, contains four conference rooms and four viewing rooms. Former All Points Research General Manager Nick Polk joins as Facility Director, with more than 14 years' experience.

Commenting on the partnership with Itracks, CEO Steve Schlesinger said the latter's patented software would enable his company to expand its qual research capabilities in the 'online space'. Itracks' President and CEO Daniel Weber says the deal is as a sign of the increasing demand for online qualitative services.

Itracks first introduced its online focus group in 1998 and its bulletin board in 2001; the latter was upgraded in September (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7356.htm ).

Schlesinger provides data collection services through its network of 13 US offices. In 2006, the company expanded with the acquisition of London-based The Research House (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5277.htm).

The partner firms are online at www.itracks.com and www.schlesingerassociates.com.
