TNS Exports MRS Training

TNS is to offer its researchers across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region the opportunity to study for the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market & Social Research Practice - the first time the UK-based Society's qualification has been taught across the region.

The MRS qualification will form part of TNS Knowledge Box, a week-long intensive training course to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 25 February - 1 March 2008. 150 delegates are expected to attend the centralised program, including individuals from China, Japan, New Zealand , Australia, Egypt, and Dubai.

The Advanced Certificate is a degree-level vocational foundation qualification designed for newcomers to the market and social research profession. Sam Driscoll, Qualifications Manager at MRS, says taking it to TNS researchers in Asia Pacific will 'benchmark standards across the region.' Michelle Griffin, TNS's ALM Regional People & Culture Director, adds: 'The Knowledge Box has been designed to appeal to our graduate trainees who want an additional formal qualification in their profession... TNS is working to set a standard across all the markets it operates in - and our partnership with the MRS Advanced Certificate will enable us to deliver this across an emerging market which is presenting the industry with huge opportunities for growth.'

MRS - the organisation formerly known as the Market Research Society - has members in more than 70 countries and is online at www.mrs.org.uk.
