Outsell Buys Eduventures Research Arm

Syndicated research and advisory firm Outsell has acquired a specialist education and business research division from Boston-based higher education consulting firm Eduventures.

The deal enables Outsell to expand its existing education and training division, while allowing Eduventures to sharpen its focus on the higher education market. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will maintain their independent consulting divisions, but will combine their resources on client projects when appropriate.

Tom Dretler, President and CEO of Eduventures explained: 'As higher education became our clear focus, we needed to find a home for our business research division that would provide our clients with insight, analysis, and customer service that was second to none. Outsell is that firm.'

In 2006, Outsell acquired London-based Electronic Publishing Services (EPS) to expand its international reach and double its client base of publishers and information providers (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5857.htm ).

The firm's Co-Founder and CEO Anthea Stratigos commented. 'The acquisition helps us build on the momentum we established in the education and training market with the purchase of EPS. Just as important, Eduventures and Outsell share similar values and have outstanding histories of delivering high-quality services to their respective markets.'
