Kadence Continues Rapid Growth

Global b2b research specialist Kadence has reported revenue growth of 18% in 2007, reaching $9.3 million. The group says all its established international offices performed strongly while new locations were launched in Malaysia and Indonesia.

The strongest growth came from Kadence USA, which reported a 28% rise in revenue, while in the UK, the company's original base, growth was also strong at 18%. All the regional Asian offices reported growth, and further Asian expansion is planned this year with scheduled office openings in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Group CEO Simon Everard cites two key factors in the firm's growth: its ability to provide global coverage, and the growing demand for specialist insight, rather than simple data generation, among business-to-business clients. He comments: 'We have won some significant new business throughout the past twelve months on the strength of our international reach and experience in conducting and delivering global research projects.'

Successful MR firms now need to demonstrate 'a common understanding and execution of the research brief across markets and a co-ordinated approach to both the project management and interpretation of data', according to Everard. He adds: 'We have noticed a real increase in the number of clients looking for the support of an insight partner rather than simply a data provider and this trend will undoubtedly strengthen throughout 2008 and beyond.'

Founded in 1992, Kadence has offices in Boston, London, Delhi, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Sydney and is online at www.kadence.com.
