Boston Analytics Launches Quant MR Practice

Research and analytics firm Boston Analytics has launched its Quantitative Marketing Research (QMR) practice headed by former Knowledge Networks VP Murli Rao.

The firm says QMR will provide clients with a greater depth in sector, customer and industry knowledge. Its researchers in the US and India will collect, maintain and analyse data online, by telephone or by mail on behalf of product and service companies in industries such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, retail and consumer goods, as well as the advertising and marketing agencies that work with them.

Rao joins as Chief Scientist and VP, Marketing Research and Analytics with more than 30 years' experience. While VP at Knowledge Networks, he managed custom research for major CPG, retail and pharmaceuticals clients. Prior to this, he was President of Marketing Intelligence Corporation (MIC), and EVP, Chief Scientist at The Faneuil Group which specialised in database marketing and customer satisfaction measurement. Rao holds graduate degrees in Management Science from the Sloan School at MIT and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

'With the economy predicted to stall in the foreseeable future, it is even more critical for our clients to correctly diagnose the needs and desires of their customers,' said CEO and Co-Founder Rashid Bilimoria. 'QMR will help them make smarter marketing decisions that maximise the success of new product releases.'

Boston Analytics is headquartered in Boston with offices in New York, London, and Mumbai and is online at www.bostonanalytics.com.
