Analysys Mason Buys Telecoms Consultancy

In the UK, IT / telecoms insight specialist the Analysys Mason Group has acquired telecoms and media consultancy Redbox Consulting Services Limited. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Redbox is a niche telecoms and media company delivering research, benchmarking and consultancy advice to assist mobile, broadband and fixed line clients shape, execute and manage their growth strategies. Clients include mobile operators, mobile virtual network operators MVNOs, media companies and vendors.

Analysys Mason Group CEO Simon Jones says that the acquisition will strengthen his firm's positions as strategic and operational adviser to the telecoms and digital media industry. 'The experience and expertise of Redbox spans the globe and its experts have worked with operators across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the US. The acquisition will undoubtedly bring further depth and scale to our global operations.'

Jones said that the Redbox team of consultants will be integrated into his company's existing Operations Group. Arun Dehiri, MD and Co-founder of Redbox, will become Director at Analysis Mason, leading one of the group's key practices, while Partner and Co-founder Mike Greening becomes Associate Director in the same practice.
