ABI Hires Nielsen Mobile's Burden

New York-based tech market research firm ABI Research has appointed mobile devices specialist Kevin Burden to the newly created position of Research Director, Mobile Devices.

Kevin BurdenBurden joins from Nielsen Mobile (formerly known as Telephia - www.mrweb.com/drno/news6979.htm ), where as Senior Manager, Mobile Devices he was responsible for consulting services and regular business reviews with the firm's device manufacturer clients. Prior to this, he spent seven years at technology researcher IDC as Program Manager, Mobile & Wireless Markets.

Quoted in many high-profile business and technology publications including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Time and Forbes, he has also spoken at numerous industry events. Before entering the MR industry, Burden worked for nine years at Computerworld, where he held several key writing and reporting positions. He has a BA in Economics from Framingham College.

ABI Research Vice President and Research Director Stuart Carlaw commented on the new appointment: 'Kevin's deep expertise in all things wireless and his command of the technology and business issues facing wireless vendors today ensure that his leadership of our mobile devices research will deliver valuable insights to our current and future clients.'
