Founded in 1960 SMS has extensive experience in all aspects of research and its clients are representative of every type of industry, government agency and the not for profit sector. The firm also runs the SMS Hawaii Market study among a sample of 2,500 randomly selected Hawaiian adults, to measure demography, media consumption, psychographics and consumption patterns of more than 6,000 Hawaiian products and services.

ISA's approach combines IVR (Interactive Voice Response) technology, web-based data collection, and an integrated CATI data collection solution. The firm also offers multicultural/multi-language research. The company was founded from headquarters in Los Angeles in1982 and now has a network of offices in New York, Washington DC, Phoenix, Dallas, Seattle and Philadelphia.

ISA President Michael Halberstam commented on the alliance: 'Our million dollar investment in technology cannot be duplicated in a market the size of Hawaii, so this affiliation provides a benefit to the market that may not be otherwise available.'

Hersh Singer, Chairman of SMS, says new clients are expected to be firms with high volume and continuous customer interaction such as retail stores, automotive dealerships, financial services, insurance companies and any company with a call center.
