Results were negatively impacted by $174m (2007) and $218m (2006) for items including restructuring costs, compensation agreements, deal costs, and legal settlements - adjusting for these and on a constant crrency basis, pro forma operating income increased 27%.

Restructuring costs for 2007 totalled $137m, vs $75m the previous year. As of December 31, 2007, total debt was $8,250 million, and cash balances were $399 million.

The unaudited pro forma figures are comprised of the results for the Successor period from May 24, 2006 to December 31, 2006 following the Valcon acquisition; and the Predecessor period from January 1, 2006 to May 23, 2006 preceding the acquisition.
