Sales Veteran Joins Bullish TRA

Groundbreaking New York-based media research firm TRA (True ROI Accountability for Media) has appointed James O'Hara as EVP of Sales.

In February, TRA launched patent pending technology that claims to match the ads that people actually receive with the products people actually buy, billing it as the dawn of a new era in ROI measurement. The firm damned the likes of Nielsen and Arbitron's Project Apollo with the faint praise of being 'important projects which... have pointed the right direction'. Apollo, whose pilot sample of 5,000 households began to look small beside TRA's one million home target, was shut down two weeks later.

O'Hara joins with a twenty-year sales background. He previously worked as General Manager at MarketTools where he was responsible for sales, client service and operations across Eastern North America and Europe and managed a large multi-national sales force. Prior to this, he ran client development programs and teams at MARC, Burke, and the National Golf Foundation.

O'Hara received his Master of Marketing Research from the University of Georgia and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas.
