New Partnership Relaunches TGI South Africa

Global marketing and advertising database TGI (Target Group Index) has been relaunched in South Africa, via a new company, TGI SA [Pty] Ltd, whose majority shareholder is Ask Afrika.

Barbara Cooke and Tim Bester, who led TGI's introduction in South Africa 6 years ago and have developed a substantial client base for it, will retain a minority interest in the new company. TGI SA will develop a new range of products and services to augment the already established single source database, making use of Ask Afrika's large team of marketing researchers and statisticians.

Ask Afrika was founded 12 years ago by Andrea Rademeyer, who comments: 'Having TGI as a part of our proven research methods gives Ask Afrika an entrée into global clients and the support of the KMR Group, the world's largest research company'.

KMR's Global TGI Director Paul Dickinson comments: 'Tim and Barbara have had an impressive impact on the South African market with the introduction of TGI, and we are delighted to support this new structure which enables further development of TGI in this country'.
