Nickelodeon Names VP of Consumer Insights

In New York, kids' entertainment firm Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group has promoted Jane Gould to the post of VP of Consumer Insights, responsible for coordinating consumer research and helping understand the attitudes, lifestyles and behaviors of target audiences.

Jane GouldGould, a nine-year Nickelodeon ('Nick') veteran, was most recently Director of Programming, Content Development and Research for Nickelodeon Australia, where she was responsible for implementing several key research projects, as well as for all research into target audiences.

Prior to joining the company, Gould was President and Founder of research firm Looking Glass Insights in Australia, where she provided marketing research and production services for clients including MTVN Australia, Nickelodeon; and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She holds a Master's of Business from Queensland University of Technology, and a BA in Psychology from Macquarie University in Australia.

In her new role, Gould will report to Ron Geraci, SVP of Research and Planning, and will be responsible for conceiving and conducting consumer research on behalf of Nickelodeon's production, consumer products, recreation and public affairs departments.

'Jane's enthusiasm and passion for the Nick brand makes her ideal to lead the Consumer Insights group,' explained Geraci. 'Her insight and experience will help keep us connected to our ever-growing audience, and help us maintain our leadership in the marketplace.'

The Nickelodeon business includes global TV programming and production, plus consumer products, online, recreation, books, magazines and feature films. Its US TV network is seen in more than 96 million households.
