GfK NOP Veteran Dies
In the UK, Clive Gibbins, a 19 year veteran of NOP, has died of cancer just weeks before his 50th birthday.
 Gibbins began his career in the market research industry at MRE in 1986, prior to it becoming part of NOP in 1994, after which he became Head of Telephone, Operations Director and then Commercial Director.
In 2003, he was appointed Global Director of Operations for NOP World, and then following GfK's acquisition of NOP in 2005, Gibbins became Global Operations Director for GfK Custom Research. Last year, he left GfK to join Kantar Operations as Worldwide Chief Operating Officer.
GfK NOP said in a statement that Gibbins had made a lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of the firm during his 19 year career there, and that his positive impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.
A company spokesman said: 'Clive was an unforgettable colleague whose intense love of life, passionate devotion to his family, fierce intellectual prowess and ever present sharp sense of humour touched the lives of all of us who were lucky enough to count him as a friend. He will be greatly missed'.
