Yahoo! Rolls Out Web Analytics Solution

Yahoo! is beta testing a new web analytics services for business web sites, which it plans to roll out by the end of the year to around 13,000 of its small business e-commerce customers.

Yahoo! Web AnalyticsThe Yahoo! Web Analytics platform contains tools and dashboards to help online marketers and web site designers enhance the visitor experience, increase sales and reduce marketing costs.

It provides custom real-time reports and graphs which can be used to analyze sales, page views and site traffic, and information is uploaded within a few minutes of user activity.

Features include 'drag and drop' data filters, custom report wizards, and a segmentation selector to help apply or remove filters to view the performance or characteristics of specific types of products, visitors and web pages.

This segmentation analyzes how different groups respond to different variables on a site, so the user can see how visitors react to different campaign landing pages, page layouts, calls to action, and then optimize pages and offers accordingly.

Yahoo! Web Analytics also maintains historical data to enable the user to review old data, or compare past and present without any changes to page tags.
