AnySite Update Debuts Population Forecasts

Location intelligence provider Pitney Bowes MapInfo has updated its AnySite Australia tool to include a detailed forecast of population, housing and income data for the next ten years.

The data is combined with Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) census information to enable users to analyse and map customer and market research data to find new site locations, grow existing locations, or plan for emerging community service demands.

Data is available at an ABS Collection District level (average of 220 households), which means users can drill down to estimate and project what demographic changes are expected in specific locations in the future.

Features include proprietary data models, such as Estimates of Consumer Spend Potential covering the amount of potential spending available per person in any conceivable trade area.

Map data updates have also been incorporated, containing new streets, drive time catchment analysis and new addresses for geo-coding. This enables retailers considering new store locations to evaluate the financial viability of different sites, and then generate colour-coded maps to display their findings.

'This latest version of AnySite is another step in our ongoing strategy to bring to market solutions which incorporate features and capabilities which, when deployed, result in a positive business impact for our users,' stated Jonathan Wright, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Pitney Bowes MapInfo.

Pitney Bowes MapInfo provides location intelligence to businesses and government organisations around the world.

The firm, which is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, is online at www.mapinfo.com.au .
