CfMC Appoints New Chief Executive

US-based marketing research software firm CfMC has named James Prasad as President and CEO. He succeeds Co-founder Charlie Yarbrough who has served as acting CEO since January and is now returning to his software development role.

James PrasadPrasad has more than 25 years' leadership experienced gained in the high-tech industry. Most recently, he co-founded and worked as Chief Operating Officer at software start-up Specifix. Prior to this, he was VP and General Manager of Operations for EMEA at technology firm Red Hat.

Other roles have been at Silicon Valley-based Adaptec, Quantum, ESS and Integrated Device Technology. He has an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree and an MBA from San Francisco State University.

'James has extensive technology industry background and a vision for the potential of CfMC software and services that will complement and build on our pedigree in the market research and polling industry,' said Yarbrough. 'He has the right management experience, the right knowledge-base, the right attitude and the right perspective to lead CfMC into our next generation.'

San Francisco-based CfMC (Computers for Marketing Corporation) was founded in 1967, when the company introduced the first computerized tabulation program. CfMC now offers CATI and CAPI software Survent, and webCATI and webSuper tools.
