JRA President Steps Down

Frances Grubb, President of marketing and sensory research firm J. Reckner Associates (JRA), will be stepping down from her role next January after sixteen years in the role. She will be replaced by SVP Steve Aukers who joined the firm last October from TNS.

Steve Aukers and Frances GrubbGrubb has served as JRA's President since 1992, during which time she has led the firm's average 24% annual revenue growth. From January 1, 2009, she will become a member of the firm's Board of Directors.

In his previous role at TNS, Aukers worked as Head of Strategic Planning, reporting to the CEO and leading the day-to-day operations and management of the Client Service Organization. Prior to this, he was Head of Marketing Research and Strategic Intelligence for DHL Worldwide Express, and Professor of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University. Aukers has a PhD in Human Performance and an MS and BA from Indiana University.

Grubb will be handing over her responsibilities to Aukers during the next few months. In his acceptance speech, he commented: 'Frances has created a very special culture which has fostered JRA's astounding growth and created a unique and collaborative work environment. I look forward to having her continue as a trusted counselor.'

JRA, founded in 1978, now employees 300 staff from its headquarters in Montgomeryville, PA; and offices in Mount Laurel, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Milwaukee, WI; Dallas, TX and Normandy in France.
