Growth for Grass Roots
Business improvement company Grass Roots Group, whose services include mystery shopping, has reported strong financial results for its year ending June 08. Turnover is up 20% to £284.3m and pre-tax profit up 24% to £10.3m.
The firm also has cash at bank amounting to £52m.
Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, UK, Grass Roots' services include communication, education, measurement, rewards and events. Founded in 1980 by recent MBE recipient David Evans, it has 1049 employees. The company has wholly owned subsidiaries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and Asia Pacific; and this year opened offices in India, China and Australia.
Evans says the company's ingredients for success are a long term perspective, 'consistency in your code of practice, encouragement in experimentation, support and respect for the most important assets you have, human beings'.
