Angoss Buys Customer Data Specialist dthree
In Canada, data mining and predictive analytics firm Angoss Software Corporation has acquired marketing solutions company dthree for $2.15m, funded through debt financing provided by a Toronto-based lender.
Founded in 2002, Mississauga, Ontario-based dthree's IntelliMaxx platform provides marketing services incorporating customer data and interactive multi-channel communications to mid- and enterprise-level marketers.
As part of the initiative, Angoss has formed a division called Sapien Information Services to operate the dthree business and expand its offering to incorporate external market data, predictive analytics, and marketing automation capabilities. The new business has been established to provide marketers with an on-demand marketing platform that enables 'deeper customer insight, improved targeting, and effectiveness measurement tools'.
Sapien will be led by President Tony Canapini, and EVP Marketing Jordan Cooperman in partnership with the dthree service delivery team and with technology and operational support from Angoss. Canapini most recently served as the Canadian Country Manager of Experian while Cooperman has previously held leadership positions at Experian, Carlson Marketing Group, and the Canadian Marketing Association.
'dthree's marketing suite, its established presence in the retail industry, and the breadth of services supported by its client delivery team are highly complementary to our current offerings,' said Angoss President Eric Apps. 'We believe we can significantly enhance IntelliMaxx capabilities for the benefit of existing and new clients of both companies.'
With operations in the US, and UK, Toronto-based Angoss uses predictive analytics and data mining software to obtain knowledge from customer data.
