Boom Year for Omniture

WPP's new partner Omniture has announced results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 31, 2008. Revenue of $296m is more than double the 2007 figure - on a like-for-like basis it grew 113%.

Fourth quarter revenue of $83.0m was up 93% from a year previously. The quarter saw a GAAP net loss of $8.1m or $0.11 per diluted share, and non-GAAP net income of $9.2m or $0.12 per diluted share, with the latter up from $4.6m and $0.07 per share respectively in Q4 2007. Non-GAAP revenue for 2008 was $309m, up 113% from $145m in 2007. Fourth quarter and full year adjusted EBITDA were $17.3m and $59.4m respectively.

Omniture says it added over 250 new customers during the fourth quarter, bringing its total to more than 5,100, and predicts first quarter 2009 GAAP revenue of $85-87m.

CEO and co-founder Josh James comments: 'We are seeing real proof points that our transition from a web analytics company to an optimization company has been completed. For example, our annual deal size has increased by over 50% from 18 months ago and 50% of our bookings are now coming from up-sells and cross-sells of optimization products to our existing customers. 2009 is about tying together the many building blocks we have assembled, including expanding our partner ecosystem, and focusing on delivering even deeper integration with our products for our loyal enterprise customers.'

Omniture is online at www.omniture.com with a corporate web site at www.omtr.com . WPP's close partnership with Omniture was announced at the end of January.
