GfK Rolls Out Technical Goods Tracker

GfK has rolled out its technical consumer goods markets tracker GfK TEMAX internationally. First launched in Germany in 2007, the service will now cover more than 20 countries.

GfK TEMAX is designed to help decision makers in industry and retail obtain substantiated facts about their markets. Reporting is on a quarterly basis for the following markets: consumer electronics, imaging/ photo, small and major domestic appliances, IT, telecoms and office equipment/ consumables.

The service comprises a report summarising the key aspects of each market through a series of charts and graphs, and a press release detailing the finer points of the market's development over the quarter.

A like-for-like comparison with the same periods in previous years highlights developments in the market in general, and also identifies trends and volumes specific to particular market segments.

Findings are based on the retail panel surveys of GfK Retail and Technology which are carried out continuously in more than 80 countries worldwide. Starting with full year 2008 data, reports and press releases will be available in both German and English and will be published in February, May, August and November.
