Tobii Launches Widescreen Eye Tracker

Swedish eye tracking firm Tobii Technology has launched a new high definition widescreen eye tracker. The tool promises market researchers, usability professionals and scientific researchers the ability to conduct widescreen eye tracking using large stimuli.

For example, the new Tobii T60 XL technology will allow users to test print ads in the context of a readable magazine and measure the attention they attract relative to other competing ads and editorial text.

'This product puts us in an even better position to serve the overwhelming interest in eye tracking for market research applications that we have been experiencing the past year,' said CEO Henrik Eskilsson. 'In scientific fields it adds value and enhances efficiency in research related to developmental psychology, linguistics, media psychology, and vision.'

Founded in 2001, Tobii Technology is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in the US, Germany, Norway, Japan and China. Earlier this month, the firm introduced The Tobii Eye Tracker IS (Integrated System), which it describes as 'the world's first off-the-shelf eye tracking system'.
