Strategic Intelligence and Jupiter Announce Asia-Pacific Partnership

Jupiter Communications, the leading Internet commerce research firm, has taken a 15% stake in Strategic Intelligence, a leading provider of Asian business intelligence.

The venture will offer the company the opportunity to market and sell directly to Strategic Intelligence clients in Asia, through a marketing and sales presence at their executive conferences, as well as through direct access to their client base. The two companies will collaborate on research in the future, with intent to develop specific research and analysis for the many distinct Asian markets. The companies will also maintain mutual links on their respective websites and other co-branding and traffic building efforts.

The investment will enable Strategic Intelligence to continue its current expansion into the North Asian markets. Strategic Intelligence is also looking to expand its web presence as well as the scope of its research services.

According to Anthony Venus, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Strategic Intelligence, "There is a natural synergy between our core competencies, with clear benefits to both organisations. With our local market strength and client base and Jupiter's leadership in Internet and new economy issues, our combined efforts will result in much-needed products and services currently not available in the Asia Pacific region."

In addition to the financial investment, the agreement will also allow for content and information sharing, access to existing research, web site linkages, joint promotional activities and conference co-operation.
