Harris Interactive Expands Online Research Services in Europe
24/5/00

Blauw Research, a research agency in The Netherlands, and Harris Interactive have signed an exclusive agreement making Blauw a member of the Harris Interactive Global Network.

Under the relationship, Blauw Research will have ready access to Harris Interactive's worldwide online research network. The agreement will enable Harris Interactive to expand its Internet based research services in Europe and to build upon its online database of European individuals for international and pan-European market research projects.

According to Harris Interactive, the company's database of online panellists currently has more than 6.5 million co-operative respondents, including a growing population in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

According to Gordon S. Black, President and CEO of Harris Interactive, "Bringing Blauw Research into our Global Network further identifies Harris Interactive as the premier Internet based global research firm. Our growing international presence secures our market leadership in providing world-class Internet based market research and polling services."

"Through our strategic relationship with Harris Interactive, we will maintain our leadership in the area of online research in the Dutch market. We also plan to expand our presence within other European countries in the course of this year," said Mr. Wout van der Wijk of Blauw Research. "The change in our operating method from offline to online, from static to dynamic and from periodic to continuous, will also help us accomplish this goal."

The agreement with Harris Interactive coincides with Blauw's recent advancement in online research and has driven its name change from the Dutch Blauw Marktonderzoek to Blauw Research. The latter is a full-service research agency with special expertise in the area of customer and employee relationships, corporate image, branding and communication issues and (new) media.
