Indicator Pesquisa de Mercado, a market research company in Brazil, and Harris Interactive have signed an exclusive agreement making Indicator the newest member of Harris Interactive's Global Network. The office will be known as Indicator/Harris Interactive.

Established in 1987, Indicator is the fourth largest marketing research company in Brazil, with branch offices in Portugal and Argentina, covering Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. Indicator, which has more than 125 full time employees, is organised in four business units: Ad Hoc Research, Retail Audits, Modelling, and Public Opinion & Social Research.

The relationship will enable Harris Interactive to further expand its Internet-based research in Latin America and to build upon its online database of Latin American individuals for international and Pan-American market research projects.

"It is crucial for market research firms today to make use of all the technological tools necessary to be aggressive in today's market," said Eduardo Schubert, President and CEO of Indicator. "Working with Harris Interactive will give us the technological edge to improve our current activities and enable us to better serve our clients."

According to Gordon Black, President and CEO of Harris Interactive, "This alliance is the latest in a series of deals that further positions Harris Interactive as the premier Internet-based global research firm. Our growing international presence secures our leadership in providing world-class Internet-based market research and polling services."
