New Media Metrix Appointment in Brazil

Media Metrix, Inc, a leader in Internet and digital media measurement worldwide, has appointed Angela Issler Marsiaj as Managing Director of Media Metrix Brazil.

With more than 10 years media, marketing, advertising sales and e-commerce experience, Marsiaj is responsible for Media Metrix Brazil operations and for leading the first, independent, high-quality meter-based Internet audience measurement service in Latin America. Media Metrix Brazil is a joint venture between Media Metrix, Inc., and Ipsos SA. The two companies will share resources and expertise to provide the most reliable and comprehensive meter-based Internet audience measurement services available.

Marsiaj joins Media Metrix from BOL-Brasil Online, a subsidiary of UOL, Brazil's leading Internet group where she was Director of Advertising Sales and E-Commerce. Marsiaj joined BOL in its initial stages, playing a crucial role in the company's launch by structuring its commercial division, planning marketing campaigns and forging strategic partnerships.

Prior to BOL, Marsiaj was with Abril S.A. - as director of marketing and advertising sales where she launched and managed the travel unit business and led the development of its new publications unit. Marsiaj also served as an Associate at McKinsey & Company where she played an integral role in reorganising, restructuring and developing strategies to maximise profit for leading companies in Brazil.
