Broadway Theatre Industry Goes to the Polls

Harris Interactive and The League of American Theatres and Producers, the national trade organisation for the Broadway industry, are joining forces to build and manage the first industry-wide "theatre-fan" database.

The database will enable the League to communicate with its target population of theatregoers, and will provide both parties with a significant opinion poll database. With 30 million consumers seeing a Broadway show every year, the target audience is not insubstantial.

As part of the alliance, the League will obtain the capability to run weekly Internet polls powered by Harris Interactive on www.Broadwaypoll.com. The goal of these non-scientific opinion polls is to help the theatre industry better develop and market to its consumers. Consumers will also be offered the opportunity to receive information from the League on its products and services, and to register to join Harris Poll Online.
