Red Sheriff on the Expansion Path
22/07/00

Red Sheriff, the Australian Internet audience measurement company, is continuing its global expansion. Following the recent launch in the UK, the operation is now moving into New Zealand, Singapore and Turkey.

Recognised as the de facto market standard in Australia, Red Sheriff leads the Australian marketplace currently reporting in excess of 75% of all Internet usage activity in its home market. The company now aims to expand its operations in Asia through its new offices in Singapore, which will offer Asian clients access to a tailored suite of Internet research and audience measurement services.

According to Richard Webb, CEO at Red Sheriff, "We are building a solid market reputation and have been very pleased with the positive response by clients to the specialist range of Internet reporting services that we currently provide in 10 countries to date. This year the company has embarked on a highly successful and aggressive international expansion programme. Asia is a natural progression for the company in the region. We intend to continue to significantly increase the scope of the company's offshore operations and extend our leadership to include key local regional markets such as Japan and Hong Kong by the end of this year".

The recent introduction by Red Sheriff of the first browser-based audience measurement system of its kind in the UK, RedMeasure, reportedly delivers a breakthrough in e-business intelligence and is proving a powerful offering for the industry. This one product is set to establish new standards in measurement accuracy in Europe, as RedMeasure's superior technology reportedly provides the most accurate audience reporting and auditing system in the world, overcoming over-counting and under-counting problems experienced with traditional server log systems.

In addition to its growing European presence, Red Sheriff, together with its Italian-based joint venture partner, AGB, will also launch its range of specialist Internet research and measurement systems in Turkey later in July.
