Media Metrix Expands into Mexico

US-based Internet research group Media Metrix aims to launch operations in
Mexico in the second quarter of 2001.
Media Metrix started operations in Brazil just recently, but has not entered
any other Latin American markets so far. In January 2001, the company plans
to start recruiting ‘panellists’ in Mexico in order to measure Internet
usage and attitudes.
To enter the Mexican market, Media Metrix is looking to link up with
Bimsa-Ipsos, the local Ipsos subsidiary. Ipsos is already Metrix's partner
in Brazil.
