Millward Brown Opens in Turkey
21/12/00

As part of its expansion strategy in Central and Eastern Europe, designed to better service clients operating in this region, Millward Brown has opened an office in Turkey.

Located in a central district of Istanbul, the Turkish company is headed by Betul Khan, previously with Procon GfK. Seven staff have already joined the new company and that number is set to rise early in the new year. Field operations have been established in the major cities of Turkey and will cover the whole country by the end of January 2001. According to Betul Khan, "We’ve already got very significant commitments from some major regional and world wide clients, including Unilever, and Danone, which are very important drivers for our business in the start-up period. However, we are sure that our client portfolio will rapidly develop in the near future. Both international and local clients are really interested in Millward Brown’s tools and services, and we’re sure their interest will translate into projects very soon."
