MDL Research is a new holding company established by the existing Marketing Direction management team, Lise Cottle & Ricky Baxter, together with John Kelly, formerly Chairman of Magenta - part of the MRSL Group, and Andy Booth, formerly Research Director of MSB (Managing the Service Business). In the course of the purchase, MDL Research has taken over all existing employees and contracts. MDL Research Limited will also continue to trade as Marketing Direction and Media Marketing Direction. The members of the new management team are equal shareholders in the business. John Kelly has assumed the role of Chairman and Lise Cottle that of Company Secretary. MDL Research will continue to operate in the field of strategic marketing research consultancy for which Marketing Direction was well known. The introduction to the management team of two of the most senior and respected researchers in the industry will serve to enhance the new company’s offering in the areas of business-to-business, employee-attitude and service quality. Media and publishing research, a particular strength of Marketing Direction, will continue to be a mainstay of the new company. An early priority for MDL Research will be to expand its international offering. John Kelly enjoys a particularly high profile in the field of international research and was recently elected President of ESOMAR.
