24/1/01

Admap is running a 3 day event at the end of January covering what’s new in pre-testing campaigns, monitoring ad performance, and in print research and testing.

Day one (29th Jan) consists of an examination of advertising pre-testing, and presents a knowledgeable line-up of both client and agency speakers. The topics in question span:

  • An introduction to pre-testing.
  • The challenges facing pre-testing.
  • Qualitative and quantitative methods of pre-testing.
  • Measuring accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Beyond the pre-test.
  • Pre-testing print campaigns.
  • Pre-testing in a multi-media environment.
  • Selecting pre-testing methods.

Day two (30th Jan) on monitoring performance kicks off with an optional breakfast briefing for all early-bird delegates. The event promises to deal with what represents effective advertising, discussed by the two renowned academic researchers, Dr Ehrenberg and Prof. Jones under the chair of Writer/Editor Colin MacDonald. The programme promises a tour through a wide selection of subjects:

  • Understanding the brand-advertising relationship.
  • Setting clear objectives for coherent advertising strategies.
  • What are we measuring and how do we measure it?
  • Why monitoring advertising performance is only half the answer.
  • Advertising performance and web-based businesses.
  • Justifying the advertising budget.
  • Justifying how your advertising campaign fits into the wider mix.
  • Learning from the brand masters.
  • From the medium term to the long term.

Day three (31st Jan) is your chance to attend a morning workshop on the key issues in pre-testing advertising and monitoring advertising performance.
