Fieldshare, the New Online Interviewers’ Database, Launches

A new free Web-based exchange and database of fieldworkers, Fieldshare, has been launched by marketing and research consultancy dobney.com. Designed to provide links between interviewers and research end-users, workers’ details are held on an online searchable database. A site forum is also available alongside.

Fieldshare will fill a gap in the research market by allowing direct contact between fieldworkers and recruiters for projects. This means fast and efficient recruitment, be that for qualitative research or for street interviewing projects.

Explaining the need for the new exchange among fieldworkers, Saul Dobney, MD of dobney.com said, "By the nature of the job, market research fieldworkers are widely spread geographically and can be quite isolated. The fieldworkers themselves are freelance and we know of some interviewers who are on the books of 20 or more agencies. Hopefully, FieldShare will help interviewers find additional work by making it easier for research buyers to get in touch with them, and provide a place where they can chat and exchange ideas and problems with others in the same boat."
