Telephone Call Centre Expansion for ORC
3/2/01

ORC International has increased its telephone call centre capacity by a quarter. This follows the expansion in the number of dedicated, CATI facilitated telephone lines it runs to a total of 125. The expansion should allow ORC to provide even more outsourced fieldwork and telephone research to them in the future.

Commenting on this development, Raymond Lindley (ORC International’s call centre manager) said, "General demand for our telephone research services was so high last year that we have had to expand our facility in order to allow us to take on larger projects and increase turnaround. Our team of interviewers includes native speakers of all European languages, and has extensive experience in using the latest telephone interviewing techniques. We believe that by combining our research and market knowledge, we will continue to provide an unrivalled resource for clients."

ORC’s managing director Nigel Maxfield added that, "The expansion of our telephone capability reflects the significant growth the company as a whole has seen. Revenue over the last year has increased by 17% which is well above the anticipated levels within the industry. Feedback from our Client Feedback Monitor is confirming that we are providing innovative, quality solutions using advanced technology, which is having a real impact on performance. We therefore enter 2001 in a confident manner, with double digit growth again budgeted and further expansion of our capabilities planned."
