5/4/01

MORI was the fastest growing (turnover up 27%) among the top 10 UK research companies in 2000, according to recent figures from the BMRA (British Market Research Association). This was achieved in MORI’s first year following its management buy out.

MORI is the largest privately-owned research company in the UK with turnover of over £27 million. In March 2000, MORI completed a management buy-out giving MORI staff a majority shareholding in the company. 3i, which has held an equity stake in the business since the mid-1980s, increased its holding from 25% to 42%.

According to MORI’s Chief Executive, Brian Gosschalk, "The hard work of my colleagues, combined with our commitment to quality and a continuing focus on our clients’ needs, underpin MORI’s success and progress in 2000. We continue to help clients improve their performance through the effective and imaginative use of research and consultancy services."
