The annual BIG conference with its theme of "The Cultural Revolution – Research & Marketing for Business Change" - will be held at the St Pierre Hotel, Chepstow on 16th to 18th May.

The programme will explore what is driving change in business processes. The sessions on day one start with a keynote speech from Dr Roddy Hutchison, Commercial Excellence Manager at BP Chemicals, who describes how major changes were successfully implemented in his company.

The theme of business change and how the Web and other technologies can help is continued throughout the day with sessions devoted to the integration of market research into company assets and challenges for the WWW and online research. There are contributions from Ericsson, Sifo Consulting, IFF Research and Eastman Kodak and topics range from the benefits of Web-based survey management for a global dealer network, how research was used to create customer focus and competitive advantage, to how better websites can be designed through bringing together users, designers and marketers. The interactive workshops include coverage of the Data Protection Act, how the technology revolution impacts on branding and what can be done to stop the decline of B2B response rates.

Keynote speaker, Denis Johnston of BT, who will be enlightening delegates on how advances in technological research will impact on life in the future, introduces the second day. Other contributions include papers from NOP Business, MORI & Strategic Research on the effects of e-commerce, the readiness of businesses for the mobile Internet, issues surrounding the integrity of online business and best practice in MR management.
