DMA Launches New Interactive Website
19/5/01

The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) has announced the launch of its improved and now interactive website at dma.org. This allows visitors to instantly download dates and event information from the site to their electronic calendars or personal digital assistances (PDAs).

Using the latest Infuzer Web technology, the DMA has developed a range of online information for visitors to use. The site also gives visitors the ability to instantly transfer date-related information from the site's "Events Calendar" page if they desire. This includes data about conferences, seminars, councils, chapters and breakout sessions.

Of special interest in this development is the fact that the Infuzer technology will enable the DMA to build a permission-based, one-on-one dialogue with its members and visitors. This will be built up through the site’s "Personal Update Page" and be based around a message centre detailing special offers, promotions and updates on events.

"As a marketing organisation, we are always looking for ways to bring value to our membership," said Robert Blakely, director of Internet development at the DMA. "This is a dynamic new tool that will allow our users to keep better track of the numerous events, seminars and professional development programs we sponsor throughout the year."
