European Launch of IRI Web Market Intelligence System
4/7/01

Information Resources, Inc is launching its Web-based business intelligence resource, CPGNetwork.com(TM), in the European market. This follows the successful US launch in 2000, with over 90 consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies now signed up for Internet delivery services.

CPGNetwork.com provides:

  • Reports which are tailored by individual user groups to present information in a format that conforms to their organisation.
  • Key performance indicators that show top-line performance highlights.
  • Alerts which highlight changes exceeding certain pre-determined conditions, reducing the need to search extensively through databases.

Each of these services can be tailored to suit the client and different users within the client company. There are also best practice "self help" guides and useful information regarding the data provided, plus an electronic file where clients can share presentations or papers in any electronic format.

According to Ed Kuehnle, Group President of North America at IRI, "This Internet-speed delivery system allows unmatched flexibility for our clients. Our information intelligence can be shared widely within a client organization, allowing each manager the ability to drill down to the level of granularity they require to maximize return on investment for their marketing programmes."

"The initial response from European clients is excellent and consistent with the interest we received when launching CPGNetwork.com in the U.S," added Kim Feil, IRI's Division President, Worldwide Innovations. "All our customers are interested in solving the challenge of getting information to more users to better support their decision making. Our clients in the U.S. have found that CPGNetwork.com reduces the burden of managing and accessing data. It also empowers everyone within the company by enabling them to reach and use the data they need, when they need it. The result is more time to spend acting on the information and making fast, decisive decisions that drive improved performance of the product in the marketplace."
