Time I did some original thinking. Like thinking about the continued boom in salaries for those with 4-8 years' experience. PMs (3-6 years) are leaving SREs (2-4 years) behind, and ADs have bridged some of the gap to Director level. |

| The table shows the number of vacancies at each level on MrWeb at present, and the mean salary for all such jobs. Note that a large number of older job ads are often removed during the first week of a month, so you may see a sharp drop in numbers and a significant change in salaries around this time. |

The Immigration Question - Working in the UK / USA

Five years ago:

October '04: The Born-Again Desk Researcher - an online desk research cribsheet.

June '04: Hot Half Dozen - six fast growing UK agencies.
Some more golden oldies:

Old but not particularly time-sensitive so the content is still appropriate:
What candidates want
What candidates are out there and what they're looking for, based on 3,000+ current registered MR jobseekers.
Wording vacancy ads
What tends to work and what doesn't - an article from the Nov 2002 MRWho based on candidate feedback, the wisdom of our recruitment consultant advertisers and our own experience from our first 10,000 ads [not much has changed now as it approaches 15,000 ads...]
Love 'n Hate [e - archive]
Some (occasionally extreme...) views of the good and bad points of a number of jobs within MR, from the 'Love and Hate' pages of all MRWho's 28 issues to date. Consider these light reading with possible anecdotal value, rather than a representative sample.
Comment & Debate - Issues in MR Recruitment
Features articles on 'getting the most from your recruitment agency', recent legislation affecting recruiters and changes in the role of 'field', by recruitment experts... and Nick Thomas.
