ISCS, Inc. a supplier of policy administration solutions (PAS) to the insurance industry, has appointed Phil Kiekhaefer, Ph.D. as Director of Marketing and Usability.
His responsibilities include developing and extending usability programs for insured and agent Web portals and for the SurePower Innovation policy administration system; and driving a ‘voice of the customer’ program which will explore the experience of automation systems from the point of view of the firm’s current carrier and MGA clients.
Kiekhaefer worked most recently for 15 years as an independent consultant, specializing in market research, software usability, and Internet initiatives, for both blue chip and technology start-up clients. He also spent three years as a legislative aide for a U.S. Congressman, where he was responsible for health care, Social Security and insurer relations for a district. Before this he spent two years in insurance software developing interfaces, training programs, and reporting for a developer of enterprise administration and insurance processing systems. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his Ph.D. in English from University of California, Berkeley.
Andy Scurto, ISCS President says the hire will ‘help ensure we continue to be leader and an innovator in this area’. EVP Tim Shelton comments: ‘Hiring Phil was a unique opportunity to increase the ways we listen to customers, learn from prospects, and develop data on how our product can meet their business goals.’
